Greetings.
The month of March 2024 as always was very eventful for Chamber. We organized many programmes and participated in many of the events organized by other Chambers/Consulates. Our Expert Committees are very active in planning our forthcoming events. I thank the Chairman and Co-Chairman of all Expert Committees for their support.
On 24th February 2024, the Information Technology Committee of our Chamber headed by Mr. H.R. Mohan and his team organized a joint webinar in association with IEEE CS Madras, CSI Chennai, ACM Chennai on "USE CASES IN AI INTEGRATED AR & VR". Mr. S.K. Prahalad, Founder & CEO, ZyenaLabs - India & Finland, addressed the participants. It was a very educative and informative webinar.
On 9th March 2024, the Investments, Capital Markets & Insurance Committee of our Chamber headed by Mr. Vignesh Nagappan and his team organized INVESTMENT SATURDAY event on "HOW TO INVEST WHEN THE MARKETS ARE AT A HIGH" at Chamber premises. Mr. Kishore Iyer, Senior Manager - Treasury Investments, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance addressed the participants.
We had good number of participants and they interacted with the speakers. It was a very useful event. I thank Mr. Hiren B. Shah, Dynamic Group for the support extended by him for this event.
On 11th March 2024, HCC in association with Loyola College conducted a Joint programme on "NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION EMPOWERING YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS". I had the privilege of being the Chief Guest for the event. Some of the technical sessions were addressed by our members - Mr. K. Suresh, Former President, Dr. Geetha Premkumar, Chairperson, Women's Forum, Mr. K. Sundararaman, Chairman, Start-up Committee, and Mr. Vinit Chordia, Co-Chairman Entrepreneurship Committee. The Chamber received a very good feedback from Loyola College.
On 12th March 2024, I had the privilege of attending as a Special Invitee for Upasana Graduation Day 2024 - the event organized by Shraddha Maanu Foundation.
On 13th March 2024, I attended the Dinner Meeting organized by CII, Tamil Nadu State Council Chairman Mr. Shankar Vanavarayar and on 14th March 2024 Ms. K.G. Chitra, Secretary, HCC attended the AGM and Annual Session of CII Tamil Nadu State Council.
On 15th March 2024, the Industry Connect Committee of our Chamber headed by Mr. Gopinath M and Energy Committee of our Chamber headed by Mr. Suryanarayana Rao and their team organized a joint programme in association with Sipcot Pillaipakkam Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (SPIEMA) & Manufacturers Association of Vallam Vadagal Industrial Park (MAVVIP) on a very important topic "NET ZERO CARBON–CHALLENGES FOR EXPORT TO EUROPE FOR ALL MSMEs IN TAMILNADU" and the same was addressed by Mr. Suryanarayana Rao, Director - Industry & Engineering Corporate Consulting Group It was a very educative programme in the current scenario. The Heads of some of the manufacturing Companies who attended the event were very impressed to know about our Chamber and the activities. I am very happy to inform that one of the participants, Mr Sendil Kumaran, Royal Tyres Pvt Ltd, has sent his application to become a member of the Chamber.
Our mission to spread the awareness of Hindustan Chamber to the various Industrial Parks and also to create awareness on the latest developments, has taken off very well. On 22nd March 2024, the Women's Forum of our Chamber headed by Dr. Geetha Premkumar and her team, organized a programme on "INCLUSIVITY - UNDER ESG UMBRELLA" This event was addressed by Ms. Swetha, C, Founder-Director & CEO, Born 2 Win Social Welfare Trust. Dr. Geetha Premkumar, Chairperson, Women's Forum, HCC, spoke about the background of the programme and addressed the participants.
Mr. A. J. Joseph, Trustee, HKRAFT Foundation addressed the participants. He highlighted the skills to be upgraded by the participants to be eligible for employment. Participants interacted with the speakers and HCC members. In the history of Chamber, an event for the benefit of transgender was organized and the participants were presented gifts by Chamber as well as by Dr. Geetha Premkumar. I thank HKRAFT Foundation for extending their support for this programme.
On April 5, 2024, we have planned to have a factory visit to Kothari Petrochemicals Ltd. and on April 6, 2024, a joint event with Surana & Surana, a panel discussion on 'Elections 2024'. On April 25, we have planned for an event with NASSCOM, details of which will be circulated shortly. Our next 'Investment Saturday' event is planned for April 27, 2024.
I request you to talk about Hindustan Chamber of Commerce and how it can be useful, to your friends and known persons in the trade and industry. I request all members (1) to participate in the various activities of the Chamber and (2) update their contact details and the details of their business activities. This will help other members to develop business relationship with each other.
